Water Sort Puzzle

Pour colored water between bottles until each holds one color.

About Water Sort Puzzle

Water Sort Puzzle is the colour-sorting game that quietly took over phone screens everywhere, and it is just as satisfying in a browser tab. You start with a row of tubes filled with layers of mixed coloured water, and your only job is to pour them until each tube holds a single colour.

There are two rules and they shape everything: you can only pour onto an empty tube or onto a matching colour, and the colour you pour must fit. From those two limits comes a surprisingly deep little puzzle about order, free space and looking ahead.

Every level here is solvable by design, so there is never a dead deal, only a better sequence you have not found yet. The game saves your progress, asks nothing of you, and is perfectly suited to a slow few minutes between tasks.

How to play Water Sort Puzzle

Pour water from one tube into another to sort the colours. You can only pour onto an empty tube or onto the same colour on top, and only when there is room. Keep pouring until every tube holds one colour and nothing else. An empty tube is your most useful tool, so guard it.

Tips & strategy

  • Keep at least one tube empty as working space. Without somewhere to pour, even a solvable board locks up.
  • Only pour when it makes real progress. Splitting a colour across more tubes usually sets you back.
  • Finish a colour completely before starting the next. Combining the same colour reopens tubes you need.
  • Look at the bottom of each tube. The colour underneath tells you which pours are worth setting up now.
  • Pour onto the larger matching stack, not the smaller one, to free a tube faster.
  • Use undo to test a line. Because every level is solvable, a stall just means a different order works.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play Water Sort Puzzle?

Pour coloured water between tubes until each tube holds a single colour. You can only pour onto an empty tube or a matching colour with room to spare.

Is every level solvable?

Yes. Every level here is designed to be solvable, so if you are stuck the answer is a different order of pours, not a dead board.

Why can I not pour into a tube?

A pour is only allowed onto an empty tube or onto the same colour on top, and only if there is enough room for the layer.

Does my progress save?

Yes. Your level progress is kept in your browser on the same device.

What is the single best tip?

Always keep an empty tube free as working space, and finish one colour fully before moving to the next.
